Yesterday John McCain called for what he calls “Common Sense Conservativism.”

Sound familiar?

Remember in 2000 when Bush promised to bring “Compassionate Conservativism” to government? That was before he froze the minimum wage for a decade and let the neediest citizens of New Orleans drown in their attics.

McCain is trying to dress up and disguise his conservative ideology. A little like putting lipstick on a pig.

Will Americans fall for this trick again? Hopefully this direct quote from President Bush provides the answer:

“Fool me once, shame on…shame on you. Fool me … uh…you can’t get fooled again.”
